September 30, 2025, marks National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (also Orange Shirt Day). This day honours the lost children and Survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities. Public commemoration of this tragic history and its ongoing impacts remains an essential part of the reconciliation process.

This year, AMHS-KFLA will host an event at the Integrated Care Hub in partnership with community organizations.

Where: Integrated Care Hub – Kingston
When: Tuesday, September 30th, 10:30 am – 3:30 pm

The event will include smudging, drumming, speakers, lunch/refreshments, and opportunities for learning and reflection. Staff, clients and community members are warmly encouraged to take part. The event is a drop-in, so you can attend at the time and for the duration of the event as you are able.

We invite everyone to honour the day in whatever way feels right for you – by attending the event, wearing orange, or taking a moment to reflect on the meaning of this day.

Special thanks to all who are helping to bring this event to life.
