AMHS-KFLA offers a range of group treatment programs and support groups to help individuals reach their recovery goals.

Additional in-person support groups are available to registered clients with referrals. Some groups are available virtually, and you can access our self-guided Understanding Addiction video group on our website, anytime 24/7. Our online calendar is updated regularly to include our open groups. Coffee & Connection

A safe place to relax, connect and create! Join us for light refreshments, games and more at 552 Princess Street or in Northbrook. All are welcome, no need to register or be a client.

Managing Personal Wellness & Recovery (MPWR)

Managing Personal Wellness & Recovery is open to all, with no need to register or be an existing client.

Access information, support and tools with rotating weekly topics that include: Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness and Mindfulness.

Musicalize Your Mental Health Music Group

All are welcome to join us and make some noise! We meet weekly on Tuesdays at 552 Princess Street in Kingston, and participants are welcome to bring an instrument if you have one or there are some available to use. No need to register or be a client – just drop in!

SMART Recovery

No matter what your addiction, SMART Recovery tools and techniques can help.  SMART Recovery is a 4-point program and is open to all – no need to register or be a client, just drop in to the group at 107 Wellington Street in Kingston!

Rotating weekly topics include:

  • Building And Maintaining Motivation 
  • Coping With Urges 
  • Managing Thoughts, Feelings and Behaviors 
  • Living a Balanced Life  

Off to a Good Start

Start your day with us in Napanee! We meet for social contact, breakfast and a walk as weather permits.
All are welcome no need to sign up – just stop by and join us at our Napanee office, 70 Dundas Street East.

Day Treatment*

Provides daily contact for individuals requiring more intensive support than individual or group counselling can offer, who may be seeking an alternative to residential treatment.  Participants are required to achieve some abstinence in the community prior to starting the program and commit to attending 5 half days per week for 4 weeks. The program guides participants through the process of change, offering supportive strategies for self-care, stress management, emotional regulation, communication and relapse prevention, with a focus on building healthy relationships and self-esteem.

Managing Powerful Emotions*

A 12-week program offering strategies and support for managing emotions, coping with stress and avoiding destructive behaviours.
