We have a number of activities to support National Day for Truth & Reconciliation on September 30th.

Join our partners at Métis Nation of Ontario this September as we partner for special sessions of our Coffee & Connection Groups in Northbrook and Tamworth, as well as a lunch and workshop in Napanee

Tamworth Library – September 28 at 4:30 pm

Land O’Lakes United Church, Northbrook – September 29 at 4:30 pm

Napanee Community Health Centre – September 30 at 11 am (lunch provided)

We will also be joining the Kingston Native Centre and Language Nest (KNCLN), City of Kingston, partners and community members as we come together to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day in Kingston.

Walk for Truth and Reconciliation | September 30 | 📍Skeleton Park
🕔 Gathering at 5:00 PM
🧡 Opening words followed by the walk to Confederation Park beginning at 5:30 PM

Along the route, participants will share drumming and singing. All are welcome to bring their prayers, drums, voices and regalia. This community-led walk honours Survivors of residential schools, remembers the children who never returned home, and creates space for reflection, learning and collective action toward reconciliation.  An Every Child Matters Kingston Transit bus will accompany the walk to support community members with accessibility or mobility needs. Participants are welcome to ride the bus and take part alongside the community. The bus will travel with the walk, remain downtown during the gathering, and return participants to Skeleton Park at approximately 7:30 PM.
