HART Connect

HART Connect: A place to begin.

Providing 24/7, low-barrier access, HART Connect continues to offer drop-in services through the Access and Support Centre, including meals, showers, washroom access, and group programming.

Staff and community partners will continue to provide connections and referrals to AMHS-KFLA programs and community health and social services.

Access & Support Centre

This is a low-barrier, non-judgmental space that aims to meet the immediate needs of individuals and connect them with services in the community.

Visitors can access basic-need services such as washrooms, showers, meals, beverages, and storage for belongings. Those accessing the drop-in space can also connect with additional AMHS-KFLA and community supports and make connections.

Open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, offering information, referrals, and connections to appropriate community programs and services, the HART Connect Access & Support Centre helps to ensure that individuals can access the support they need in a respectful, inclusive, and dignified environment.

Partnerships with local organizations are being formed to support our transition to a HART Hub model, and we anticipate our first on-site partnership with Peer Support South Eastern Ontario (PSSEO) to begin in October, providing one-on-one support and group programming.

Rest Zone

The Rest Zone provides a safe and comfortable overnight resting spaces for up to 28 individuals each evening.

Supporting the Next Step

HART Connect is a doorway to access services. Staff help people understand their options, coordinate referrals and connect with other HART Hub Kingston and AMHS-KFLA services, as well as community partner programs.

Whether someone needs immediate assistance, health or addiction services, housing support, or a connection to longer-term care, HART Connect is a place to begin.
